Landlord-Tenant law can be very complicated, due in large part to the Illinois Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance which gives powerful rights to tenants. Currently if tenants are victorious which our firm has been recently and in the past, landlords are required to pay tenants' legal fees and fines for not adhering to the act.
